This ring is not as bright and platinum-shiny as it looks in the picture, no one will notice it but you and whoever gave it to you. Still, it’s nice and quite heavy, it really feels substantial. A dark greyish base with a nice dull (not shiny) 18k gold-plated inlay. Worth the clearance price certainly.

I bought this ring when, during my pregnancy, my wedding band became too tight. The ring is gorgeous; I’ve gotten several compliments, and always enjoy the surprise when I tell people this isn’t my ‘real’ ring. It has stayed sparkly, too, despite the wringer I put it through: no nicks or scratches, and it cleans quite easily after I get some lotion between the stones.

It took me a long time to find a CZ set that didn’t look like it came out of a gumball machine. I did a lot of searching, the stones on most are either an unrealistic size, or the settings are just plain ugly. This set is beautiful and believable in both size and setting, it looks a lot like the 14k gold / diamond set that I lost a few months ago.

This is my first “white” (sterling silver) ring, and I think I may still be partial to yellow gold; if this were yellow gold, I think I’d say its just about perfect. But that is a matter of preference, I made the sacrifice for the price until we can replace my diamond set. In natural light, it also does not have quite the bling that a diamond does, but if you are indoors under lights, it sparkles plenty. And that is where most of us are most of the time, anyway, right?

I had my finger sized by the jeweler, not using the online sizing guide, so I am not sure how true to size the ring is using the guide. It is true to the jeweler’s sizing rings, though.
