I need a good engagement ring designer – all the rings available are NOT what I want!?

I don’t want a yellow/white gold or even platinum ring. I don’t want diamonds on it, even accent ones. But ALL the websites and stores I’ve visited in person only has the above. It’s like society’s stuck on the diamonds/gold requirements for an engagement ring, and that SUCKS. I wanted a purely silver ring (not sterling silver, my finger turns green!) with a heart-cut aquamarine centerstone with emerald side accents & engravings on the inside of the band. Anybody out there who can work with me on this?
Nianni – he asked me what I wanted. Would you want your husband to give you a pawned diamond ring from a second-rate store and expect you to adore it? Real ignorant.
What I wanted was a silver ring with my birthstone as the center, and two emerald rings on each side for his birthstone – sort of ‘hugging’ me. That truly does represent how we feel about each other, how I’m his. What does a diamond and gold represent? Nothing. A diamond represents forever, but symbolizes absolutely nothing about love. We both have already agreed on it and he is extremely excited if we can get one like that AND we’ve agreed quite a long time ago that the traditional engagement rings do not symbolize anything at all.

Gemstone engagement ring, good or bad?

I love the styles of these three rings with a small band of diamonds for the wedding band but I am worried about it getting cloudy or faded( since I hope to wear it for 50+ years). If you have a gemstone ring please let me know how often you have to clean your gemstone ring, how much it has faded or become cloudy, and how many years you have had it.
